The heart of Qatar’s strategic vision for the future is helping people achieve their full potential, thereby benefiting the individuals, their families, the community and the nation.
Currently, the SCH is embarking on an ambitious program to enhance the wellness of the people of Qatar so that a vibrant, healthy, and productive society can be established for today and for the future. The essence of that program is ’Caring for the Future’.
The SCH has partnered with PROMETRIC to provide computer based medical licensing examinations to assess the competency of health practitioners seeking registration and licensure in the State of Qatar. Candidates will be able to attend for an examination at any of PROMETRIC’s 10000 test centers in 164 countries around the world.
Under the guidance of his Highness the Emir of Qatar, the SCH was established in 2009 and given the responsibility to guide reform in Qatar in order to establish one of the world’s most admired and renowned health systems. The SCH’s role is to create a clear vision for the nation’s health direction, set goals and objectives for the country, design policies to achieve the vision, regulate the medical landscape, protect the public’s health, set the health research agenda, and monitor and evaluate progress towards achieving those objectives. Another key SCH function is oversight of the quality and effectiveness of service delivered by primary care and hospital and other public and private sector health service providers to ensure that standards are met and performance targets achieved. The SCH is the steward of the health of Qatar’s people. It has the dual mandate to develop policies and programs to improve the people’s health so that they may enjoy longer and more productive lives, and to lay the foundation for a vibrant country for decades to come. The Medical Licensing Department (MLD) within the SCH is tasked with:

We undertake examination registration on your behalf. The two processes a candidate has to complete in order to work in Qatar are as follows.
1) Examination Registration
2) Primary Source Verification by Data flow
The process through which the Supreme Council of Health – Qatar, validates credentialing information from the institution that originally conferred or issued the credential (e.g. authenticity of educational degrees). This is done through SCOH Qatar’s partnership with Dataflow group. All health professionals must undergo the PSV process upon initial licensure application or license renewal (for licensed health professionals whose qualifications had not previously undergone PSV). Please note that each document only requires to be verified once. Health professionals may be required to repeat the PSV process for verification of newly acquired credentials/qualifications as required for credentialing purposes (e.g. Acquisition of new educational degree). The following are the different categories of examinations conducted outside Qatar. We undertake exam registrations for the categories mentioned below.
